General
Although I don’t always update the website, there’s still plenty of development going on behind the scenes.
Sketches
In my previous post, I mentioned that I’ve started having someone else do the sketches: Mayo Lopez. She does a perfect job, exactly as I specify based on my sketch/cardboard PDF.
I don’t want to give away what the full scenes look like, which is why you see a close-up above of the scenes Mayo has drawn over the past few months. The full version might reveal too much of the story. Mayo spends about 7 to 9 days per scene, since my PDF includes a detailed description and each scene is very extensive.
As of this writing, there are still 12 scenes left to sketch before I can take the next step. After that, I’ll select a few scenes to launch on Steam Early Access.
I expect to be able to provide a new update in about two months. By then, all the sketches should be finished.
Countries
The adventure you’re about to embark on is partly based on the real world (more on that later) and takes place in several countries. The three in-game items listed below will play a key role in the game:

Font
I could write a very long story here about the font I’m going to use in the game. But the bottom line is that I want people in China and other countries to be able to play the game as well.
So, I had to look for a font that includes all the characters I need. To do this, I used a script that converted a TTF file into a BMFont. But that’s almost useless with so many characters, so it didn’t work optimally.
Since readability is very important, I’ve decided to use “Noto Sans Simplified Chinese.” https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Sans+SC/about?preview.script=Hans
A Noto font supports multiple languages, and in this case, it supports almost everything I need and most importantly, it remains legible.
